Emily Johnson, AuD, CCC-A
Doctor of Audiology
Dr. Emily Johnson earned her Bachelor of Science from Purdue University and her Doctor of Audiology degree from Rush University. Prior to working here, she was on staff at the University of Chicago Medical Center. She is a member of the Academy of Doctors of Audiology, the American Academy of Audiology, and the American Speech Language and Hearing Association.
Specializing in hearing aids, tinnitus, and central auditory processing disorders.
Not only does Dr. Johnson organize an amazing conference for Illinois audiologists and professionals, she also gives back to those still learning, providing mentorship to local doctoral students.
She worked for local private practices in the Chicago area specializing in tinnitus and hearing loss/hearing aids for children and adults. Prior to becoming a part of our team, Dr. Johnson could most recently be found at the University of Chicago as a pediatric audiologist.
Dr. Johnson became interested in audiology when her mom brought her to hear about it as an "up-and-coming industry" at a college fair. She immediately fell in love with the idea of being able to provide healthcare WITHOUT dealing with blood. (Can you blame her?)
All joking aside, Dr. Johnson wanted to help provide patients with a more meaningful connection in life through communication with friends and family.
Stay tuned: She is currently working on having an industry research study published!
