Today was one of those days where everyone we saw had some degree of conductive hearing loss due to either ear too much wax in the ear canal or fluid in the middle ear. One older woman’s hearing aid was constantly “squealing” due to too much wax in her ear canals. Once the wax was removed, her hearing aids were no longer causing excessive feedback sounds.
Many children and one adult had fluid in their ears today. This temporary fluid can effect how the person hears speech. For the children, fluctuating temporary hearing loss can effect their ability to develop normal speech and language skills. For adults, it can effect how you hear your co-workers and family.
