HEARING AID PRICING
& SERVICES FEES
At Advanced Audiology Consultants, we are not only experts, but our hearing aids and services are affordable. We were the first Audiology practice in Illinois a few years ago to introduce true unbundled pricing. We also pride ourselves in using Best Practices and being a part of Dr. Cliff Olson's Best Practice Pro Network.
So, how does this work?
We start with a 15 minute free telehealth visit, where we initially meet you and find out if we're a good fit for you.
Then, you complete history forms online and we will send you our introductory educational videos to watch prior to your first appointment.
The "Hear Better Now" Appointment
$316
The day of your appointment we will conduct the most comprehensive examination of your ear and hearing in the large test booth in quiet and in noise. You also will be asked to complete some pre-testing functional questionnaires.
Next we will review your test results with you, answer your questions, and give you a copy of your test results in 2 different ways.
If we find that you have a hearing loss and you do not currently wear hearing aids, we can fit you with a pair of the latest hearing aids to test for 1 week. During that time, you are finding out if hearing aids are for you. We are also finding out what style and level of technology would be best for you.
If you have a known hearing loss and currently wear hearing aids, but feel as though they were not fit correctly, we can have a system just for you! We can create Real Ear Measurement targets based on your current hearing test results, update your hearing aid programming and make necessary adjustments to ensure you have optimal speech understanding abilities.
Lastly, you will be enrolled in our proprietary Hearing Wellness Journey online aural rehab program that will take you through the next month of helping to retrain your brain and give you the best chances of improving your hearing in many different listening situations.
So why do we call it the Hear Better Now appointment? Because no matter if you came in with your own hearing aids or have never worn them before, you will walk out of our office with a smile and more confidence because you can "hear better now"!

Patients pay an annual subscription directly to our practice for preventive care and discounts off other products. This is not an insurance plan, no claims are filed and no payments are made to any other health care providers. Once the annual fee is paid to our office directly, patients are entitled to the hearing aid services benefit membership program for 12 consecutive months.
Sometimes a person purchased their hearing aids somewhere else, or their current service plan ran out. We can provide the hearing and audiology services necessary to keep the hearing aids working, their ears clean, and update the hearing aid prescription if the hearing changes.

Routine ear and hearing aid care consists of examining and cleaning your ear canals, scheduling regular checkups and cleanings of your hearing aid microphones and receivers, and avoiding excessive moisture, sweat, and hair products.
Hearing Loss
Hearing can slowly change over time and may be associated with other chronic diseases, including diabetes and heart disease. Changes in the hearing can occur at any time.
Ear Wax
Individuals can produce varying amounts of ear wax. It can become impacted if not properly managed. Ear wax tends to be the number one cause of hearing aid failure, as it clogs the receiver.
Hearing Aid Programming
If there is a permanent change in hearing, the hearing aids can be reprogrammed with the appropriate amount of gain to meet an individual's prescription. Proper hearing can help with easier speech understanding.
