Lindsey Doherty, HIS

Clinical Treatment Coordinator

I grew up in Lemont, but I went to college in Providence, RI, at Johnson & Wales University, where I double majored in Baking & Pastry Arts and Food Service Management. If you’ve been in the clinic for one of our special events, you might have had some of my baked goodies!

I got into the audiology world largely because of the great patients we work with each day. I was a mom of two looking to get back into the world, so I started here as a part-time receptionist. After falling in love with the work, I went back to school at the College of DuPage to earn my Hearing Instrument Dispensary certification. I took the IL licensing exams, passed in July 2022—and never looked back!

As the Clinical Treatment Coordinator and Hearing Instrument Specialist, I’m usually seen in the common area to help the flow and function of the office or in appointment spaces helping patients with cleaning or repairing hearing aids. I also make sure that your hearing devices and all the necessary parts are ordered accordingly so that you have the best experience possible.

Working with our patients is the best part of my work—hearing about their pets, children, grandchildren, and travel plans, all while enriching their hearing with the help of personalized hearing care... the patients make it worth coming in each day.

I also love working with our fabulous team—I’ve never felt more of a sense of appreciation and belonging than I do here!

Outside of work, I love to read, bake, play the flute, cause some chaos with my two dogs and two daughters, and try new foods and drinks with my husband while exploring new places and listening to good music.

If you could have dinner with one person, who would you choose?

Probably Audrey Hepburn! From her insight based on her childhood experiences, through her career, motherhood, and work with UNICEF, I would be in awe.

What is your favorite sports team?

I don’t really have a favorite right now, although the Chicago White Sox with Frank “The Big Hurt” Thomas was the jam. I have really enjoyed attending all varieties of games in Chicago, whether it’s the Wolves, the Slammers, the Bears, or either baseball team, I just love the energy!

What is your favorite food?

Sushi!

If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would you go?

I would love to explore so many parts of the world, but I think the one place I’d like to travel to next would be Asia. Culture, cuisine, landscape… my friends have all told me such wonderful things!

What’s your all-time favorite TV show/series?

Friends or Ted Lasso.
