Specializing in Higher Level Evaluations & Treatments
Use Less Energy and Hear More Clearly
You're Gonna Like the Way You Hear
How We're Different
Most people come to us from a referral from a friend who has worked with us or a doctor (audiologist, neurologist, neuropsychologist, otolaryngologist, otologist, sports medicine, pediatrician, or primary care physician) who understands our higher level of evaluation and treatment options.
Our office schedule is designed to help you discreetly address your hearing needs. We slow everything down, take a proper history, evaluate you completely, educate you on the findings, and work with you to create a treatment plan. We pride ourselves on testing you with pre- and post-treatment functional assessments to measure your growth.
We understand that sometimes it's not easy to admit you are struggling and taking that first step by making an appointment is a great start.
Here's how it works...
Step 1
Start with a Video In-Take with an audiologist.
Step 2
Come in for your comprehensive evaluation (with testing in quiet and in noise in the sound booth).
Step 3
We'll start your individualized treatment right away.
Schedule now, so you can stop guessing and start hearing people correctly.
You'll be glad you found us!
What Type of Services Do You Need?
Hearing & Hearing Aid Consultations
We specialize in comprehensive hearing evaluations. We want you to hear better. We provide only quality products that are custom fit. We also help you with your hearing aids you purchased elsewhere.
Auditory Processing Evaluations
We can evaluate your auditory processing abilities with a battery of specialized tests that are conducted in the sound booth. We test phonemic awareness, speech in noise capabilities, dichotic and binaural processing.
Tinnitus Evaluations & Treatment
Tinnitus, sounds you can hear within your ears, can cause varying degrees of annoyance. When it becomes bothersome, it may be time to work with an audiologist who has the specialized training, including Lenire, to help manage the tinnitus.
Auditory Training Therapy
We offer Auditory Training for individuals in-person, via telehealth, and in groups for people with APD and hearing loss. This is listening therapy to help correct phonemic listening errors as well as helping with hearing in noise and short term memory.

Lessons
We understand that you miss living life fully and how trouble hearing friends and loved ones can get in the way of that. With our extensive testing, we get to the bottom of where your ears need the most help using Best Practices, and lay out a treatment plan to help you reach your hearing goals.
Because we believe it is never too late to retrain the brain to hear and process more efficiently, one of the things we are known for is follow-up care, including listening to music and learning the play musical instruments. We wholly agree with studies that show the positive effects music has on the brain and your abilities to process speech in noise.
Our diverse service offerings also include specialized auditory training therapy programs for those with a central auditory processing disorder and also for those with hearing loss with a great deal of phonemic regression. We also offer tinnitus retraining therapy for those who struggle with their tinnitus and need a more long-term, structured format to retraining their brain.
"What's My Investment?"
How much is unclear hearing costing you? How many potential conversations did you miss in the sea of noise? How many events did you avoid because previously you couldn't follow the conversation and asked yourself why you even came? Is your hearing causing you frustration and affecting your relationships? How much longer do you think you can continue like this?
A lack of clarity may already be costing you a great deal.
What could happen if hearing loss goes untreated...
"The Neural Consequences of Age-Related Hearing Loss"
University of Pennsylvania'a Perelman School of Medicine reports that declines in hearing ability may accelerate gray matter atrophy in areas of the brain and increase listening effort necessary to comprehend speech. "As hearing ability. declines with age, interventions such as hearing aids should be considered not only to improve hearing but to preserve the brain," said lead author Jonathan Peelle, PhD, research associate int e the Department of Neurology. "People hear differently, and those with even moderate hearing loss may have to work harder to understand complex sentences."

"Cortical Neuroplasticity in Hearing Loss: Why It Matters in Clinical Decision-Making for Children and Adults"
The University of Colorado's Institute of Cognitive Science and Center for Neuroscience reports that even in early stages of hearing loss, the brain appears to re-organize and the areas that process sound are no longer as stimulate. Researchers found it took more effort on the listeners to hear and they needed to rely on their visual senses to help understand, in as early as 3 months after the hearing changed.

"Mental Distress and Quality of Life in the Hard of Hearing"
"There is no question that hearing loss can lead to social isolation and depression that may exacerbate any appearance of cognitive decline, and that the constant perceptual effort resulting from reduced hearing acuity can be a source of stress and mental fatigue."

CURIOUS about over-the-counter hearing devices?
What Our Most Successful Patients Asked Before Working With Us
If I need hearing aids, won't others notice them?
The ironic part is that most people don't notice the hearing aids. They DO notice that you are sharper, quicker to respond, give great insight to the conversation, ask "huh" or "what less and are just generally more pleasant to talk to.
How are hearing aids adjusted for different people?
A comprehensive hearing evaluation is a gold standard, which includes proper visualization of the ear with an otoscope and specialized testing.
How much are hearing devices?
We have many different levels to choose from based on your needs and level of technology that you would like. We work with your budget as well so that you are comfortable making the right selection.
Do you have real ear measurement?
Yes! We follow best practices and make sure your hearing aids are fit to your unique ear.
Will you help me if I already have hearing aids from somewhere else?
Of course! We actually mainly focus on and specialize in helping those who have struggled to hear properly with hearing aids that were purchased somewhere else. Would you believe that not everyone uses Best Practices? (We're pretty shocked too!)
We're here to help you hear your best.
If you have any questions, just call us and ask!
